CX
Hover or tap a company row to see its documented technology focus. BYTON spans the complete architecture; other chapters show how breadth accumulated over time.
This is a career architecture map—not a software stack and not a claim that every role covered every layer. It shows where experience was developed across physical systems, electronics, intelligence, digital experience and connected systems.
Technology Across Three Decades
Built layer by layer. Applied product by product.
Recent work first, followed by the technology foundations that shaped it. Each chapter now includes role, years and one representative proof point from my career profile, while keeping current and proprietary work intentionally high-level.

Amazon Leo · Satellite Connectivity
Satellite connectivity.
Focused on LEO broadband connectivity and antenna systems for mobility applications; current product details remain intentionally high-level.

AVCC · Autonomous Vehicle Computing Consortium
Standards are built together.
Appointed AVCC’s first Chief Evangelist, supporting industry thought leadership around computing requirements, reference architectures and ecosystem collaboration for autonomous vehicles.

Fisker · Advanced EE · ADAS · EV
Complex systems at product scale.
Led a distributed 300+ engineering and test organization and managed a $100M+ R&D portfolio spanning ADAS/AD, electrical architecture, homologation and customer release.

Hyliion · Electrification · UX Strategy
Technology succeeds when people can use it.
Developed digital strategy with executive leadership around electrified powertrain, battery technology and connected product experience, including work that contributed to Hyliion Insights.

BYTON · Digital Product · Connected Systems
A physical product became a digital platform.
Led digital product roadmap and cross-functional coordination across UX, engineering, marketing and business development, with architecture and supplier work spanning EE, connectivity, cloud, infotainment and ADAS.

Intel · Automotive · Education · Compute
From silicon to systems.
Oversaw 35 global Intel Apollo Lake automotive customer deployments supporting QNX, Android, Automotive Grade Linux and Windows, while coordinating with cross-functional engineering organizations of 2,000+ people.

NVIDIA · GPU Computing · Mobile
Compute moved into everything.
Led Tegra Android reference-design and GPU software release programs, including unified driver releases supporting Windows 7 and early CUDA releases across a 1,000+ engineer software organization.

Lam Research · Semiconductor Manufacturing
Precision beneath every generation of compute.
Led process and quality engineering work across the corporate quality system, corrective actions and field-product reliability for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Philips · Semiconductors · Consumer Electronics
Technology became an experience.
Worked across TriMedia, the first Ambilight LCD TV, multimedia platforms, optical storage and set-top-box programs—spanning software, program, quality and engineering leadership.

Ford / Visteon · Embedded Systems
Where the journey first became real.
Developed embedded instrument-cluster features using Motorola 68HC11 and pSOS, including work for the Ford Explorer and Aston Martin DB7.
Technology in Conversation
Talking about the work.
Over the years I have had opportunities to discuss products, technology and industry change in interviews, conferences and working sessions.
What Colleagues Have Said
What people I’ve worked with have said over the years.
I have kept a collection of public recommendations from colleagues, direct reports, executives and customers. Across different roles, a few themes come up more than once.
Amazon · Systems Thinking
“Neil brings deep experience from launching diverse products across multiple technologies… quickly connecting complex technical systems while balancing innovation with practical execution.”
AVCC · Technology Communication
“His ability to bridge complex technologies with strategic collaboration… and translate technical concepts into compelling narratives brought invaluable insight to our work.”
Fisker · People + Execution
“He brings a rare combination of strategic clarity, deep technical understanding and a calm, steady presence… He leads with people first, then process, then technology.”
These are a few excerpts from a larger set of public, named professional recommendations collected over the course of my career.
How I Build
Architecture matters. So do people.
The best products emerge when strategy, systems thinking, execution and empowered teams stay connected from idea through launch.
